Our Story - هل من نصير ينصرنا
Fourteen centuries ago, on the sacred plains of Karbala, a man stood amidst the martyred bodies of his children, brother, kinsmen, and devoted companions. Facing an army of over 30,000 soldiers under the command of the tyrant Yazid bin Muawiya, he called out in all four directions:
هَلْ مِنْ نَاصِرٍ يَنْصُرُنَا؟
Hal Min Nasir Yansurna?
(Is there anyone to help us?)
That man was Imam Hussain (Aba Abdillah) (AS), the grandson of the Holy Prophet (SAWW), who made the ultimate sacrifice to uphold truth, justice, and the preservation of true Islam.
To answer that call and pledge our unwavering support, Maukib Imam Hassan Bin Ali (AS) was founded during Arbaeen 2014.
From a Maukib to a Global Humanitarian Mission
Our journey began with a small group of five volunteers operating out of hotel lobbies in Najaf and Karbala, providing food and assistance to Arbaeen pilgrims. Over time, we collaborated with local Mauqibs and volunteers, allowing us to establish a permanent presence outside Hotel Najmet Jarash on Bab Baghdad Road, Karbala.
By Arbaeen 2019, our team had expanded to over 80 volunteers from across the world, serving thousands of pilgrims with hot meals, essential provisions, and logistical support.
Expanding Our Mission: Rebuilding & Supporting Communities
Since 2020, we have grown beyond our initial purpose, transforming into a global humanitarian organization dedicated to serving communities in need. Our work now extends to:
• Kenya & Tanzania – Providing food aid, clean water access, and educational support.
• Pakistan & India – Supporting orphans, widows, and struggling families with financial aid and essential supplies.
• Syria & Lebanon – Delivering humanitarian relief to displaced families and those affected by conflict.
• Iraq – Continuing our Maukib services while expanding into year-round charitable initiatives, including food distribution and infrastructure support.
Rebuilding Mosques & Hussainiyas
In addition to humanitarian relief, we have been privileged to take part in the renovation and reconstruction of mosques and Hussainiyas across various regions. These sacred spaces serve as centers of worship, learning, and community support, ensuring that the message of Ahlul Bayt (AS) continues to thrive for generations to come.
Our Commitment
Inspired by the values of Imam Hassan (AS) and Imam Hussain (AS), our mission is rooted in service, compassion, and justice. We remain dedicated to answering the eternal call of Imam Hussain (AS) by supporting the less fortunate and preserving the legacy of the Ahlul Bayt (AS).
We invite you to join us in this noble cause. Whether through volunteering, donations, or spreading awareness, every effort contributes to a greater purpose.
