Salaamun Alaykum
We are raising donations to support the poorest families in Hermel, Lebanon to supply them with simple food rations to be able to enjoy the end of Ramadhan with the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Eid hamper costs about US$20/- and will sustain a family of up to 5 persons. The following items are included in the hamper.
2kg Basmati Rice
1 whole chicken about 2kg
1kg of beef
3kg of potatoes
1kg cucumber
1kg tomato
1 lettuce
1 mint
1 parsley
1 radish
1 packet of Chocolate Sweets
Our partners on the ground have identified 2000 deserving families in that region, but given the time constraints and the speed with which we can raise the donations, we will attempt to serve as many families as possible. We have therefore set a first tentative target for this appeal which can be increased as we progress.
We request you to spread the word and our link, so as to reach as many people as possible. The Maukib team leaves on Friday 21 April 2023 and will be on the ground in Lebanon on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr to complete this project. Please keep us in your prayers.
