With it’s mountainous geography, temperatures in Lebanon drop to below -15 degrees in many areas throughout the winter, making this a very difficult time for families who cannot afford heating facilities. Most people are already struggling to survive the country’s economic crisis and very few can afford fuel or electricity amid widespread power cuts. Many people are burning waste, plastic and old clothes to heat their homes.
