ABSOC for Lebanon!
Lebanon is in crisis. The recent escalation of violence has displaced over a million people, many of whom are now without the basic necessities required for survival. As winter approaches, the need for shelter, food, medical care, and protection against the cold is more urgent than ever. In response, we at QM/BL ABSoc have joined forces with Zayir UK in a friendly competition with fellow ABSocs to see who can reach the fundraising target first! Together, we aim to bring essential aid to families in desperate need.
Our plan is clear. After careful assessment and coordination with local authorities, we are targeting aid to ensure that families receive exactly what they need, right when they need it. This includes:
- Delivering essential aid packages filled with food and supplies to sustain displaced families.
- Supporting medical volunteers on the ground who are working tirelessly to care for the injured and ill.
- Distributing winter supplies — blankets, clothing, and heating materials —to protect the most vulnerable from the harsh winter cold.
- Sustaining long-term aid efforts to provide stability as this crisis continues.
