I’m a British citizen whose family originates from Lebanon, specifically in the south. As I go back and visit my family and see all the places I grew up making memories destroyed, receiving news about family, friends and neighbours lost and seeing whole neighbourhoods and communities destroyed and filled with poverty that were once an environment that brought only smiles and comfort to us as kids; I feel an overwhelming responsibility to try my best to help and contribute with what I can.
