This year on Sunday 28th August I will be cycling 100km through the streets of Birmingham to raise funds for an initiative which is close to my heart. The donations will go towards establishing a clean water supply system, supporting many families on a daily basis who are currently without clean drinking water.
The charity are planning to build a desalination water plant in Nzavoni, a remote part of Kenya with very little rainfall and access to clean water is difficult. Nearby water points are salty and unsafe, while clean drinking water is about 12km away.
Cycling 100km will be painful but imagine the pain of those less fortunate than us who walk 12km everyday just to get clean drinking water for their families.
I am raising funds to support the Stanmore Jaffery charity, who are working in partnership with the WF AID charity, to facilitate this major project. Any surplus donations will be used to dig water wells in other rural areas where there is a need for clean drinking water.
If you'd like donate to support the cause (please don't feel obligated or pressured to do so) and help give people access to clean drinking water which is a basic human right and a necessity of life. We take clean drinking water for granted where we live but millions struggle to find clean water every day.
Your Reward: helping the needy and bringing a smile to their face is PRICELESS
