Zayir charity was founded with the aim of gifting free Ziyarat to the holy shrines of our Ahlulbayt (AS), strictly to people unable to afford to costs of ziyara. However, after the unfortunate economic crisis in Lebanon and the great rise in poverty, Zayir expanded its charitable work to help those affected by the humanitarian crisis and support families in need in Lebanon against poverty, standing with our community as our Ahlulbayt taught us.
Today as our hearts yearn for the ziyara of our beloved Ahlulbayt, we want to restart our "Ziyara Sponsorship" campaign and support people to visit their holy shrines (AS), and fulfil our duty of promoting the religious and spiritual needs of the community.
Since being established in 2016, Zayir charity has helped send over 1500 people to perform Ziyara of the holy shrines in Iraq, Iran & Syria. These are people who have never previously visited the holy shrines of our beloved Ahlulbayt (AS).
To be considered for a free ziyara, an application form is filled in and a detailed financial assessment takes place prior to allocation.
