For the past few years, Al-Kawthar has been running its Ramadan Food Basket Appeal where each donor contributes towards a food basket that contains Ramadan food essentials for the entire month. As well as our food baskets we will be distributing meat and chicken parcels which is a treat for those in need. We also collect money so the orphans have an Eid present at the end of the holy month. We are hoping that you will join us in making an impact in the lives of these orphans and widows.
We're Al-Kawthar, we were launched by the Al-Khoei Foundation in 2010. The project followed the Iraqi Aid Group that was established by the Foundation in 2003. Al-Kawthar is a humanitarian project providing aid, basic necessities, medical care, education and micro-finance to widows and orphans in Iraq. Ever since our launch, we have been given the opportunity to make a difference to many lives with the help of our generous donors. We have been able to sponsor over 600 orphans and provide occasional aid to a further 1000 orphans and 600 widows.
