Thank you for taking the time to read this. The Ali Asghar water appeal is an amazing charitable event.
I am once again blessed to be taking part. This year I will be running the London big half marathon. It will be a a great personal achievement for me as I only started running about 9 months. I normally run 5k's so running over 20k will be difficult but with your support and donations I will be inspired to get it done.
Over the last 5 years we have raised over £400,000 to bring life-changing sustainable WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) initiatives to hundreds of families who are less fortunate than we are and whose only hope is our generosity.
This year's projects
1. Tanzania Borewell – This years main flagship project aims to drill 6 bore wells across five villages in Tanga region of Tanzania and provide reliable access to clean water. The water will also be connected to other infrastructure such as schools, mosques, clinics and public areas. These projects will provide 100 litres of clean water per household.
2. Pakistan Tube Well - this project aims to install a tube well in Parachinar, Pakistan, providing residents with clean drinking water. Solar panels will be set up to power the tube well promoting sustainability and reducing dependence on unreliable electrical grid in the area. The tube well is expected to provide water for 2,000 people daily.
Please donate generously and help me reach my target.
Thank you
