I am not a team sport player, I love fitness and my health, but have never experienced the adrenaline of a collective goal. When presented with the opportunity to run the half marathon, I thought maybe it would be a good way to combine me wanting to be my own competition as well as being with others.
Slight issue, I wasn’t a runner ! But it was too late, I had already committed.
Fast forward 3 months, I’ve had one injury at the beginning, my shins and I’ve recovered, have built some resilience in the process too. I can comfortably say, I potentially can make it to the finish line standing.
And …….. sssshh I actually enjoy running.
Let’s make this race, one more worthy than me crossing the line, help me raise some money to give others the basic human right of water!
