We are hiking South Wales' highest peak to raise urgent donations for displaced families and children in Lebanon and around the region.
The ongoing attacks on southern Lebanon have resulted in the displacement of more than 4,500 individuals from their homes, as of 22/10/23, with the anticipated rise of these figures in the coming days ahead. Families in dire circumstances are currently seeking refuge in schools and structures located in the central district of Tyre. Many of these families have experienced the loss of their homes and personal possessions, prompting their evacuation in the interest of safety.
We appeal to your generosity and solidarity to assist us in delivering essential aid to these vulnerable famlies during this challenging period.
We aim to distribute:
- Provision of food packages to families affected by the crisis, as well as families in need across the region
- Distribution of heating resources and fuel, in preparation for the harsh winter conditions ahead.
- Medication and healthcare equipment
Our dedicated Zayir volunteers are already on-site attending to the needs of these displaced families. Your support is very important in enabling us to help these families, who have lost everything.
