Heal Bones, Restore Lives: Orthopedic Implants for Patients in Need
π The Problem
Every year, thousands of patients throughout Tanzania suffer broken bones and injuries that require urgent orthopedic surgery. Financial constraints means that many of them must wait weeks or even months before receiving the implants (screws, plates and rods) needed for their surgery.
These delays cause:
- Unnecessary pain and suffering
- Poor healing outcomes
- Risk of lifelong disability
- Families struggling with the burden of care
π‘ Our Solution
Providing orthopedic implants to patients who cannot afford them β ensuring they get the treatment they need on time.
β
On average, one implant costs just Β£ 30 ($40).
β
With timely surgery, patients recover faster, regain mobility, and return to their families, jobs, and normal lives.
π― Our Goal
To raise funds to cover implants for as many patients as possible.
- Β£ 30 ($40) β Provides 1 implant for 1 patient
- Β£ 90 ($120) β Arranges for implant for 3 patients
- Β£ 150 ($200) β Restores mobility for 5 patients
- Β£ 300 ($400) β Gives 10 patients a second chance at life
- Β£ 750 ($1,000) β Supports 25 patients
π Transparency & Accountability
- Monthly reports to donors on how funds are used
- Number of implants provided
- Patient testimonials
Every penny of your donation goes towards buying implants.
π Why This Matters
A broken bone may seem simple β but without proper surgical implants, it can turn into a lifetime of disability. With your support, we can make sure no patient suffers simply because they cannot afford an implant.
Together, we can:
- End needless waiting
- Restore dignity and independence
- Transform lives, one surgery at a time
π Call to Action

Updates as of 7th September 2025:
Hundreds of patients who have injured their limbs due to accidents are currently in the wards in different hospitals, as they can not afford to get the implants (used to stabilize the fracture) so that they can go back to their families and be the bread earners the accidents. Some have waited weeks and several months, and even though the surgery itself is covered at the facility they are, but the metals (plates, screws, rods) needed for this is beyond their reach.
I will share 2 such stories as below:
A 42 year motorcyclist broke his thigh bone and currently waiting for surgery for more than 2 weeks but has not been able to collect money for the required implant.

Yet another young bread earner has been in the ward for almost a month but has not been able to get the required implants.

You can make a difference to their life, either through donation or sharing this message.
The donation can either be a one-time donation ($40 per patient), a recurring monthly donation or any amount that you want to donate.
Furthermore, spread the word so that more Tanzanians can be treated appropriately at the right time so as to have the best outcomes.
I personally send them the implants and do a thorough follow up ensuring the implants are not re-sold and personally communicate with the patients and have X-rays showing the implants used once the surgery is done.
