It's been 1 week since the earthquake that devastated the south of Turkey and north of Syria. Until this campaign was written February 13, 2023 morning.
31,643 people died and 80,278 were injured in Turkey. Over 4,500 people died, more than 5,000 were injured in Syria. More than 13 million people were affected by the earthquakes.
"Over 233,000 search and rescue personnel are currently working in the field. Almost 148,000 people have been evacuated from quake-hit regions so far." (AFAD - The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency)
ASAR Humanity team and KSATRIA volunteer team have been deployed to respond to the emergency call. Joining along with NGOs from all around the world, they have worked tirelessly.
300 volunteers from all around the world stayed in the international volunteer joint camp in Malatya. They were served a simple meal, but the volunteers did not complain. They worked with all their heart out.
ASAR Humanity initiates to fundraise to provide nutritious meals for the volunteers. In a day the kitchen needs 6000 Turkish Lira or around 270 Pound Sterling to serve 3 course meals for 300 volunteers. We aim to serve them a decent meals for a month.
