As the month of Ramadan approaches (3 weeks away), I wanted to once again help the Dar-Ul Muslimeen orphanage in Morogoro, Tanzania by raising enough funds to pay for a month's worth of Iftar ( the first meal upon breaking one's fast) which comes to approx $1500. I'd be overjoyed if we raised an additional $500 to help pay for Eid presents for the children as well if possible. This particular charity is close to my heart not only because it is in my country of origin, but also because it provides housing and education for orphans and children that have been rescued from abusive parents. The founders do incredible work and the children are nurtured, loved and helped to overcome their painful starts in life to achieve their potential. Dar -Ul- Muslimeen is reliant on donations to continue to provide for these children and together, we can help make this special month and the celebrations at the end of the month unforgettable for these children. My family's donation will be at least 10% of whatever is raised. In memory of my late father, Marhum Kassamali Daya to whom I dedicate everything that I do.
