Why I’m Running the London Marathon
On 26 April 2026, I’ll (inshallah - God willing) be standing at the start line of the London Marathon (Distance: 26.2miles / 42.2Km) — something I never imagined I’d do. This is my first marathon and without exaggeration, it’s one of the hardest challenges I’ve ever taken on. The training has pushed me physically and mentally in ways I didn’t expect, but every step has a purpose far bigger than me.
In Morogoro, Tanzania, 50 children at the Darul Muslimeen Orphanage are fighting to escape extreme poverty. For them, education is the only path to a stable future. They attend English Medium schools, combining academic studies with religious and moral education - working tirelessly to build better lives.
But without financial support, many risk dropping out.
A full year of schooling for one child costs £350, covering fees, uniforms, books, and academic support. Your donation gives a child dignity, stability and the chance to shape their own future.
As I take on this marathon challenge, I’m running for them. Every mile is for a child who deserves a chance.
Any donation, big or small, makes a real difference. Would mean so much if you could support !
