For the past 9 years, running has completely transformed my life. As someone living with a lung condition, it would have been easy to accept limitations. Instead, running became a source of strength, resilience and perspective. It has improved my physical health, strengthened my mental wellbeing and shown me that barriers, whether physical or mental, can be challenged and overcome.
I have completed countless half marathons and supported members of my local community in staying active and achieving their own goals. But one challenge has always remained just out of reach: the full marathon. The mental commitment and time required felt like a step too far.
2026 will be the year that changes that! (God willing)
Many of my family members are from East Africa, and I have a particularly strong connection to Tanzania. That is why supporting the Educate 50 Campaign, which aims to fund the education of 50 orphans in rural Tanzania, is deeply personal.
We are seeking sponsors for the 2026 academic year to ensure no child is forced to drop out due to a lack of funds. A full sponsorship of £350 covers every essential need for one student, including:
• School and exam fees, covering full tuition and mandatory academic testing
• Uniforms, providing the clothing and shoes required to attend school with dignity
• Learning materials such as textbooks, notebooks and stationery
• Academic support through remedial classes for students who may have fallen behind due to past hardships
Your contribution offers these children the stability they need to focus on their studies rather than their survival. By sponsoring a student, you are investing in a lifetime of opportunity.
Every mile I run represents resilience, gratitude and purpose. I would be truly grateful for any contribution you are able to make.
I am also pleased to share that my employer, Baringa Partners, will be matching all donations up to £500, meaning your generosity can go twice as far in making a real difference.
Together, we can turn this once in a lifetime opportunity into a lifetime of opportunity for these children.
Thank you so much for your support.
