If you know me, you will know that I was never a runner. The Husein of 2 years ago would not have considered running for 5 minutes, let alone 5 hours. However somehow I have ended up committing to running the London Marathon (42.2km) and the Hackney Half Marathon (21.1km) within three weeks of each other.
The children of Kigoma, Tanzania, struggle to attend secondary school due to a lack of finances. I hope to use the challenge of 39.3 miles in 20 days to raise money and fund opportunities for their future.
Just £800 covers the cost of a full year of education for one student, including tuition, housing, food, and school supplies.
