In just one year, I went from struggling to complete my first 5K to preparing for the ultimate challenge: the 2025 London Marathon. But this isn't just any race. This marathon means so much more than crossing a finish line. It’s about changing lives – specifically, the lives of children in Africa who are in desperate need of education.
I’m running this marathon with multiple injuries, which have tested my physical and mental limits. But none of that compares to the barriers these children face every single day. Lack of access to education is one of the greatest challenges they endure, and I can’t stand by while they fight for a future. They deserve the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream, just like every child should.
Over the past year, I’ve pushed through my own obstacles, training through pain and pushing myself beyond what I thought was possible. The journey hasn't been easy – but nothing is more important than ensuring these children can achieve their potential, no matter where they’re from. I may be running with injuries, but I know the children I’m running for face far greater struggles every day.
