A few months ago I went to Iraq with my family and we spent half a day at The Zahra Trust office in Karbala. We shared a meal with widows and orphans supported by the trust and had a back-to-school celebration for the kids, gifting them stationary, notepads and educational toys. It was a really humbling experience and I was blown away hearing about all the great work this charity does around the world.
The Zahra Trust operate in Yemen, Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan, Kenya and other countries across the region. They provide aid in various forms to their beneficiaries including: housing for empoverished families, education for vulnerable children, water-wells for isolated communities, monthly food parcels for widow-led households and much more!
Please donate and support the work this lovely charity does. It would mean a lot to me and help motivate me to cross the finish line on April 23rd!
