A form of submission and worship of Allah (SWT), Sadaqah is the righteous giving of charity with the sole purpose of pleasing the Almighty.
Allah SWT says in the Holy Quran 57:11: “Whoever gives a virtuous loan to God will receive double from Him in addition to an honorable reward.”
With countless benefits, Sadaqah cleanses the wealth of the Mu’min, and by Allah’s grace can bring Barakah and blessings to his or her life.
In Wasa’il Shia, Vol 1. P 115 Imam Ridha (AS) said, “Give charity even with a small amount because indeed all that is intended for the sake of Allah; although it may be small it becomes great after having an honest intention.” From this beautiful narration of the 8th Holy Imam, we see the significance placed on giving charity and helping others who may be in need and how Allah SWT will magnify any amount of charity, no matter how small it may seem, if it is done with a pure, sincere, and righteous intention.
Sadaqah Jariyah, or ongoing charity, is truly a mercy from Allah (SWT) as it allows a person to continue to reap its reward even after death.
From providing food, clean water, shelter, clothing, education and winter supplies, your sadaqah donations can go so far to making a difference in the lives of people in need across the world. Working in some of the most remote and isolated areas of the world and serving some of the most marginalized communities, The Zahra Trust ensures that your donation goes where the need is the greatest and to those who are often forgotten, but need it the most.
The effort starts here with raising awareness and donations that provide the means to alleviate hardship and suffering. A small donation paired with pure intention can have a significant impact on the lives of our dear brothers and sisters who do not have access to even basic necessities.
Open your hands and your hearts, and let us give and grow as no amount is small so please do donate whatever you can!
