Two years ago, a group of us friends decided to use our friendship to give back to society, and we endeavoured to do so by going on a sponsored hike in the Peak District. We had an amazing time, but more importantly, we were able to raise over £3000 for the less fortunate.
Last year, we took on Pen Y Fan in Wales (the highest peak in South Wales) and raised £5,000 for the Global Sadaqa Appeal.
This year, our hike has a greater meaning to us as we are raising money in memory of the *Marhoom Fazal Virani*- the father of our dear friend Maryam. Hajj Fazal was a true inspiration to us all; his charity, generosity and willingness to serve his community and those less fortunate than himself is only something we can aspire to do. We wish to respect, honour and continue his legacy and humanitarian work by raising money for his fundraiser.
